Steve Walker Operations ManagerSteve is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration. He is team leader, advisor, and manager of the SE Michigan office. Steve takes pride in being the best area leak detection company and is always on the lookout for the latest methods, strategies, and technologies to ensure that he and his staff are well equipped to handle all of your water-loss needs. Although he is occasionally regulated to office work while handling his managerial duties, you will often find him out in the field working with other leak specialists, ensuring the best possible leak detection strategies available. He is a big science fiction movie buff and enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter.

Alana Rickett Office ManagerAlana has been with American Leak Detection since the beginning of 2018 and bringing a serious passion for the job with her, right from the start. She is a fast learner, having picked up almost all aspects of the office in just a few short months, and has quickly become one of the most valued employees in the Whitmore Lake office. Her excellent customer service is evidenced by the fact that the American Leak Detection field technicians are constantly getting compliments from our customers regarding “that wonderful young woman I spoke to on the phone.” She has two degrees from Oakland Community College where she majored in Social Work. When she is not working, she relaxes at home with her elderly cat and dog.

Mike DuRussel Sr. Leak Detection TechnicianMike is a fountain of knowledge in many different areas, including the building trades, and is the team trivia wiz. “Did you know a water drip every second will always equal 8.64 gallons per day?” Being the Senior Tech, he has seen a wide range of different scenarios involving water loss and detection. Mike uses experience and critical thinking to determine the best course of action when it comes to your leak detection needs. He is really good at thinking outside the box in some of the more unusual or unpredictable settings.

Josh Hough Leak Detection SpecialistJosh comes to American Leak Detection from Florida, where he worked in the pool industry for close to 10 years. The last two years of Josh’s career in Florida had been dedicated solely to pool leak detection but Josh wanted to learn more, so he came back home to Michigan to work for ALD and learn all aspects of our business. Josh has an analytical mind, with the ability to incorporate his prior pool building experience towards finding some of the more unique leak situations that American Leak Detection comes across. Josh works well with our customers and is dedicated to providing the best service that he is capable of.

Patrisha Packard Customer Service RepresentativePatrisha “Trish” started as a seasonal CSR and quickly became a valuable part of the team. With 20 years of experience with children, she is patient and understands customers’ needs. She also has a way of making anyone smile. Trish loves her family and dogs, whereas they go camping every year. She lives nearby with her husband, her son, daughter, 2 dogs: Skeetah, SayDee and her cat Moose.

Ian Gray Leak Detection SpecialistIan started working for American Leak Detection in the spring of 2022. He came to us with a plethora of knowledge due to his previous work in home restoration and of water damaged homes. Ian sees things from multiple perspectives, which gives him a unique ability to assess leak situations from different angles before figuring out the best way to conduct his investigations. He also excels at customer service, explaining different issues to our customers and making them feel comfortable with his presence in their home. He enjoys gaming in his free time and has quickly become a valuable member of the team.

Steven Zentner Leak Detection SpecialistSteven got his contractor license in Electronic Leak Detection in Las Vegas in 2001. From there he has been in the leak detection field in different cities and eventually landed at the American Leak Detection in Jacksonville Florida. He recently re-located to Michigan to be with his children and grandchildren. From having experiences in different regional areas over a span of 20 years, he can bring a different perspective and ideas to every job to help customers find their leak!

Mason is a bright young man who loves to put things together and figure things out. Leak detection can require an extra set of hands. Whether it be helping the office with paperwork or helping a leak specialist with a repair- we know we can count on him. In his spare time, he likes to hang with his family.
