“This week a leak in the slab of our home was discovered, and with the help of your company, pinpointed and repaired. Although we are still in the midst of remediation and restoration, we wanted to take time to share with you a bit of our experience with your company. Being easterners with homes with basements, a leak in the slab is a new and unsettling situation for us. After stepping in water early Tuesday morning, we called our HVAC and plumber to shed some light on the situation. The plumber quickly said, “you got a slab leak…I recommend you call American Leak Detection…”. Enter Kevin and Jay…the professional American Leak “dream team”! Our stress decreased after an hour with them, and within a short time they isolated the situation. We did not know that your company also does repairs, and assumed our plumber would handle that end of the disaster. After several hours with Kevin and Jay…we called the PS office (Miriam and Sara also professional, friendly and effective) to ascertain how soon the fix could be achieved…we hired them. With flowing water – through the pipes, we are back in the residence—so far, one day out, all is good. We cannot say enough about your two employees: professional, highly competent- creative problem-solvers who exude a sense of contagious confidence. Having been the general contractor on one of our homes, we believe that building and remodeling a home is challenging, but the right sub-contractors are key to a quality success. We do not believe the end justifies the means. The effective and efficient process yesterday (time, knowledge, skills, attitude, and how well the employees get along…) was evident. They lightened our spirits! We know businesses always get the complaints; we wanted to share our positive story with you – I hope all your employees are like the professional leak “dream team”! Please extend our gratitude to Kevin and Jay. Because of them we will be able to leak Palm Springs on schedule, and although a nightmare having recently remodeled, we are moving forward. “I cannot tell you how pleased we were with ALD's work this past week. Your company has assisted us in Palm Springs over the years and also, on occasion, at our main home in Pasadena. As you know, we have quite a unique property and extra care is required to maintain the original 1950's appearance of the home. We were frankly at a loss to find a practical solution to permanently eliminate the risk of our main sewer line clogging as a result of multiple root intrusions. We are also located on a rock ledge, further complicating the challenge. Your team was initially headed by Erick Morales, later joined by his supervisor Andy and as the project unfolded, by several other knowledgeable employees of the firm. All conducted themselves in an exemplary manner and Erick, who had been here in the past, stood out. I even suggested some additional work, yet Erick, once more, provided a more practical solution. Erick also worked very well with our staff. As a former Chief Executive of First Interstate Bank, later the senior Managing Director of what is today JPMorganChase and at present Chairman of the Palm Springs Art Museum, I was struck by your team's "advisory, consultative" approach rather than what is more typical "sales" approach. The team determined the source and location of the problem, discussed various alternatives, brought in experts, arrived at a workable solution which was then followed by a proposal.
